This wiki documents the 2008 Caltech E/ME105 energy group's project. Our broad goal is to improve energy utilization and access in the developing world. Specific themes we initially explored are:

Pedal power grew into a project providing rechargeable lanterns to families living on the periphery of the electric grid (see the project summary). Other projects along these lines include:

• Kurt Kornbluth's lighting project in Africa
• Water bottles as skylights (Brazil)
